Soundtrack Reviews + Liquid Puppetry debuts at the PlāYR Video Festival

May 6, 2015 | By

FilmMusicReviews_square_picI’ve got a fresh set of film reviews coming shortly, nut here’s a quick set of soundtrack reviews featuring John Debney’s moody Broken Horses  (Lakeshore Records) and Benjamin Wallfisch’s rich Desert Dancer (Varese Sarabande).

Also of note, apparently a short film I submitted will screen next week at the PlāYR Video Festival in Newmarket, Ontario.

LiquidPuppetry_snapshot_720x405I’ve a feeling my odd little experimental video might be the lone tube camera originated work in the programme.

Either way, the bevy of shorts are divided into three screenings over three days, and Liquid Puppetry screens at the Tequila Event Centre. It’s all free, and more info is available from the PlāYR website.

Eventually I’ll have a related making-of short up at Big Head Amusements, outlining the quirks of the cameras used to make this trippy short.
