(A third installment was reportedly planned but never filmed.)<\/p>\n<p>The main reason the diptych created by writer-director Bob Kelljan\u00a0endures is star Robert Quarry, wonderful as the titular vampire who terrorizes na\u00efve Los Angeles suburbanites (and by proxy, kittens).
