{"id":15432,"date":"2017-02-17T12:24:36","date_gmt":"2017-02-17T17:24:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=15432"},"modified":"2017-02-17T12:36:56","modified_gmt":"2017-02-17T17:36:56","slug":"15432","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=15432","title":{"rendered":"The Eternal Mystique of Cats: Kedi (2016)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Being allergic to cats, dogs, and birds, it\u2019s impossible for me to have a cat, but I can visit friends\u2019 feline companions and enjoy the squinting smile of supreme ecstasy that cats emit when they receive the perfect head, chin, or back scratch.<\/p>\n<p>The greatest cat I ever knew was Nathan, an oddball who thought he was a dog because he was raised by a dog, and because I was one of maybe 3 people (including owners Norm and Kate) that he liked.<\/p>\n<p>When I had a tooth pulled without being knocked out, the only thing that tempered the extraction hell was imagining Nathan meowing. It makes no sense, but maybe it relates to a common observation voiced by the humans in Ceyda Torin\u2019s documentary <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=15427\">Kedi<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=15427\"> \/ <strong>KEDi<\/strong><\/a> (2016), in which cats have a history of usurping excess and unwanted energy, and bringing a bit of peace when humans are stressed out.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_15436\" style=\"width: 540px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-15436\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-15436\" src=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Kedi_3.jpg\" width=\"530\" height=\"252\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Kedi_3.jpg 630w, https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/Kedi_3-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-15436\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">&#8220;My understanding was this establishment offers a bottomless glass of tea.
