{"id":18,"date":"2010-08-30T12:53:37","date_gmt":"2010-08-30T16:53:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mondomark.com\/wordpress\/?p=953"},"modified":"2010-08-30T12:53:37","modified_gmt":"2010-08-30T16:53:37","slug":"an-autopsy-of-the-dead-films-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=18","title":{"rendered":"An Autopsy of the Dead Films, Part 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mondomark.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/KyraSchon_s.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-954\" title=\"KyraSchon_s\" src=\"http:\/\/mondomark.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/KyraSchon_s.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"106\" \/><\/a>In our second part in this series, we have <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/exclusives\/Exclusives_Autopsy_1.htm\">an interview with  director Jeff Carney and producer Jim Cirronella<\/a>, two independent filmmakers  who pooled together their enthusiasm and research to make <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/dvd_reviews\/a\/3693_AutopsyDead2009.htm\">Autopsy  of the Dead<\/a><\/strong>, the latest documentary on George Romero\u2019s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/dvd_reviews\/n2o\/2045_NightLivingDeadElite.htm\">Night  of the Living Dead<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The chief difference between <strong>Autopsy<\/strong> and some of the previous docs &#8211; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/dvd_reviews\/n2o\/3694_NightLivingDead25thAnnDoc.htm\">Night  of the Living Dead: 25th Anniversary Documentary<\/a><\/strong> (1993), for example \u2013  is its focus on the people <em>not<\/em> named  Romero, Hardman, or Russo.<\/p>\n<p>Many of the interviews consist of participants whose  involvement with filmmaking may have been this one-time 1968 project, but  collectively they present views and stories that are sometimes strikingly  different from the standard replies in the usual anniversary docs and  featurettes fans expect DVD producers to assemble every time a year ends with  the number \u201c0\u201d or \u201c5.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Part 1 of this Q&amp;A focuses on the making of <strong>Autopsy of the Dead<\/strong>, whereas Part 2  addresses the new soundtrack album produced by Cirronella, and details of the  little-known Capitol Hi-Q stock music library from which Romero assembled his  striking score.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark R.
