{"id":20896,"date":"2025-09-26T11:32:38","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T15:32:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=20896"},"modified":"2025-09-27T02:53:52","modified_gmt":"2025-09-27T06:53:52","slug":"wim-pims-dakota-1974","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=20896","title":{"rendered":"Wim &#038; Pim&#8217;s DAKOTA (1974)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-20900\" src=\"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Dakota1974_Slider.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"630\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Dakota1974_Slider.jpg 630w, https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Dakota1974_Slider-300x143.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Cult Epics has been mining the Scorpio Films catalogue for the last few years \u2013 the Dutch Sex Wave collection is comprised of <b>Obsession<\/b> (1969), <b>Frank &amp; Eva<\/b> (1973), <b><a href=\"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=19011\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blue Movie<\/a> <\/b>(1971), and <b>My Nights with Susan, Sandra, Olga &amp; Julie<\/b> (1975); <b>Wan Pipel<\/b> (1976) is available separately &#8211; and the latest and final Scorpio addition is <a href=\"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=20887\"><b>Dakota<\/b><\/a> (1974), an extremely odd drama directed by Win Verstappen and co-written by Pim de la Parra.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-20899 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Dakota1974_OrigPoster_m-233x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"233\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Dakota1974_OrigPoster_m-233x300.jpg 233w, https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Dakota1974_OrigPoster_m.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 233px) 100vw, 233px\" \/>Starring Kees Brusse (<b>Blue Movie<\/b>), Monique van de Ven (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.kqek.com\/dvd_reviews\/t2u\/2543_TurkishDelight.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Turkish Delight<\/b><\/a>) in her second film role, and a well-traveled DC3 Dakota airplane, the film is ostensibly about a loner pilot\u2019s dangerous long-haul flight with verboten cargo, but its troubled production is almost as interesting as the film itself.<\/p>\n<p>Severin Films just announced <b>Saga Erotica: The Emmanuelle Collection<\/b>, which is the latest edition of the first three films \u2013 Emmanuelle (1974), Emmanuelle 2 (1975), and <strong>Goodbye, Emmanuelle<\/strong> (1977). The trio were originally released on DVD way back in 2003 by Anchor Bay, and Kino followed up with Blu-ray versions in 2019 and Studio Canal\u2019s own edition of the first film in 2021. Severin\u2019s options consist of the first 3 films in a 4K set, and a 11-disc, 4K-Blu-ray boxed set that includes essays in book form, two soundtrack CDs, and the 1969 Italian variant <b>I, Emmanuelle<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>I reviewed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/dvd_reviews\/e\/2697_EmmanuelleAB.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Anchor Bay set years ago<\/a>, and a looking forward to the new transfers, as well as the 1969 films which was reportedly \u2018inspired\u2019 by the 1959 publication of Emmanuelle Arsan\u2019s book upon which the 1974 film is based. Until then, coming next is a review of <b>Laure<\/b> (1976), co-written &amp; co-directed by Arsan (actually Louis-Jacques Rollet-Andriane), and produced by classic schlockmeister Ovidio G.
