{"id":2200,"date":"2011-01-15T23:03:31","date_gmt":"2011-01-16T04:03:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mondomark.com\/wordpress\/?p=1505"},"modified":"2011-01-15T23:03:31","modified_gmt":"2011-01-16T04:03:31","slug":"soundtrack-reviews-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=2200","title":{"rendered":"Soundtrack Reviews"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/mondomark.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/CompactDisc_image_s.gif\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-863\" title=\"CompactDisc_image_s\" src=\"http:\/\/mondomark.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/07\/CompactDisc_image_s.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"120\" height=\"120\" \/><\/a>Just uploaded are\u00a0soundtrack reviews for a pair of video games.<\/p>\n<p>Those familiar with Daniel Pemberton&#8217;s prior work &#8211; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/cd_lp_reviews\/j2l\/MP3_0136_LittleBigMusic.htm\" >LittleBIGMusic <\/a><\/strong>(2008),<strong> <\/strong>and particularly\u00a0<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/cd_lp_reviews\/m\/MP3_0169_MonsterMoves.htm\" >Monster Movies <\/a><\/strong>(2005-2008) &#8211; will know what to expect from a composer who crafts themes and arrangements using ideas from disparate idioms and periods.<\/p>\n<p>His latest work, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/cd_lp_reviews\/j2l\/MP3_0260_KinectAdventures.htm\"><strong>Kinect Adventures!<\/strong><\/a> [<a href=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=2189\">M<\/a>] (1812 Recordings) features a half-hour of wild theme variations, but what I&#8217;m waiting for is a producer to hire Pemberton to score a wry British caper film about\u00a0a team of multi-generational thieves with extreme music tastes. His sense of rhythm, fusion of crazy sounds, and knack for addictive melodic hooks make him ideal for such a project. Anyone?<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/cd_lp_reviews\/a\/MP3_0261_AssassinsCreedBrotherhood.htm\">Assassin&#8217;s Creed: Brotherhood<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0[<a href=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=2187\">M<\/a>] (Ubisoft Music) features a diversity of moods and marvelous balance of electronic, orchestral, folk, and liturgical elements.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Composer Jesper Kyd already has a solid background scoring video games, and his latest is an impressive work with meaty tracks &#8211; \u00a0some melancholy, others pure action, but never predictable and cliched.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark R.
