Period.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Yup, it\u2019s been a week since the last update, largely because  I finished off a few test reels of various analogue-digital video experiments  that are now on Vimeo &amp; YouTube, plus a pair of lengthy blogs on exactly  what the weirdness is all about. (Sony clearly built the  thing to last a few decades.)<\/p>\n<p>Just uploaded is a pair of reviews\u00a0 &#8211; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/dvd_reviews\/t2u\/2800_ThoseMag.htm\">Those Magnificent  Men In Their Flying Machines<\/a><\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=6757\">M<\/a>]  (1965) from Twilight Time on Blu, and <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kqek.com\/dvd_reviews\/t2u\/4086_ThoseDaring.htm\">Those Daring  Young Men in Their Jaunty Jalopies \/ aka Monte Carlo or Bust<\/a><\/strong> [<a href=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=6761\">M<\/a>] (1969) from Legend Films. Both  were directed \/ co-written by Ken Annakin, co-written by Jack Davies, scored by  Ron Goodwin, and co-starred Terry-Thomas, Gert Frobe, and Eric Sykes, but only  one is a real gem. Sometimes waiting a few years too many and cobbling together  a hasty script doesn\u2019t yield anything more than an unnecessary sequel.<\/p>\n<p><em>Coming next<\/em>: a  review of DirectTV\u2019s first original TV series, <strong>Rogue<\/strong>, which ought to be coming to home video this fall. The  network\u2019s already given the green light for Season 2, so expect more naked  Canadians, New Zealanders, and Brits, and a smattering of splattered brain  matter.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark R.
