Lee Thompson, back when he was making character pieces before blockbusters. Naturally it&#8217;s not available on video here &#8211; I&#8217;m pretty sure I caught it when the CBC was airing a huge package of vintage British films from Thorn-EMI back around 1989 &#8211; so there&#8217;s another classic film to add to my wish list.<\/p>\n<p>Nice surprise: how many are available from Criterion, which means you should be able to track down some of these gems for rental &amp; maybe purchase from the city&#8217;s indie stores, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BayStreetVideo\" >Bay Street Video<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pages\/Eyesore-Cinema\/68245065379\" >Eyesore Cinema<\/a>, or any of the local stores in your local &#8216;hood (nicely tallied in the <a href=\"http:\/\/videostoreday.com\/content\/?p=38\" >Video Store Day directory<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, <a href=\"http:\/\/nextprojection.com\/2014\/02\/02\/interview-mark-cousins-filmmaker-historian-author-altar-boy-cinema\/\" >Next Projection<\/a> recently interviewed Cousins, touching upon a variety of subjects that&#8217;s worth a read.<\/p>\n<p>Cheers,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark R.
