Twilight Time\u2019s Blu-ray sports a sharp transfer, with another isolated music &amp; effects track.<\/p>\n<p>From TJFF we have three related reviews, staring with <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=8938\">Sheldon Leonard\u2019s Wonderful Life<\/a><\/strong>, a 2014 re-edit of Allan Holzman\u2019s 2011 documentary about the former character actor who found a bounty of opportunities working in radio and TV. Leonard was a pioneering showrunner \u2013 the lead creative organizer who made sure the tone and quality stayed in check and with credits like <strong>Make Room for Daddy<\/strong>, <strong>The Dick Vam Dyke Show<\/strong>, <strong>The Andy Griffith Show<\/strong>, and <strong>I Spy<\/strong>, he was responsible for a substantive chunk of TV history, packed with some of America\u2019s greatest comedic talent, including a young Carl Reiner.<\/p>\n<p>Before his career as a film director (<strong>All of Me<\/strong>, <strong>The Man with Two Brains<\/strong>, <strong>Dead Men Don\u2019t Wear Plaid<\/strong>), Reiner was also a writer \/ actor, and contributed in the classic variety show <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=8941\">Your Show of Shows<\/a><\/strong>, which was performed and broadcast live during the early fifties. TJFF screened\u00a0 a 1974 feature film which showcased 10 of the show\u2019s best-known skits, including the untouchable spoof of <strong>This is Your Life<\/strong> with star Sid Caesar.<\/p>\n<p>Lastly, there\u2019s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/kqek.com\/mobile\/?p=8944\">When Comedy Went to School<\/a><\/strong> (2013), a lively chronicle of the Borscht Belt where many of stand-up comedy\u2019s great pioneers honed their craft in the hotels up in the Catskills.<\/p>\n<p><em>Coming really shortly<\/em>: a review of Winifred Phillips\u2019 excellent intro book to video game scoring plus related soundtrack reviews.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark R.
