The Fate of the Furious and Studio-Crafted Special Features

Russian nuclear submarine vs. Dom and the Family.

Released this past Tuesday is the eighth entry in the seemingly indestructible Fast and the Furious franchise, with Dom going rogue, but doing so for the sake of a new Family while the old Family is pitted against him until faith in the Whole Family restores the equilibrium and Family reigns again.

F. Gary Gray’s direction is either a needed jolt for the series or tones it down a bit too low – I’m of the former opinion – and I get into the pros & cons within Fate of the Furious (2017) which makes its debut on Blu but is part of a lousy trend studios seem to think gets people active on other media platforms.

Coming next: The Quiet American (1958) from Twilight Time + Foreign Intrigue (1956) from KINO.
