Paul Walker’s Hours (2013)

March 10, 2014 | By

HOURS / Director Eric HeissererJust uploaded are reviews of Paul Walker’s third-last film (come on, you know there’s a discrete countdown), Hours (Lions Gate), and the film’s score by Benjamin Wallfisch, released on CD from Varese Sarabande.

Whether you feel Walker had limited expressive talent, or perhaps spent too much time in action films instead of gritty dramas, he did possess a genuine affability that came through regardless of how dumb a film may have been (Into the Deep), or repetitive, with little room to deepen a hardening caricature (the Fast & Furious franchise, which I do like, Parts 2 + 6 excepted).

Coming next: Gravity, augmented with some related reviews of space docs about space stations, space telescopes, and exploratory spacecrafts. You know – things ‘spacey.’

Cheers,
