Soundtrack Reviews

August 5, 2014 | By

FilmMusicReviews_square_picJust uploaded are a quartet of soundtrack reviews, with each album available on disc and digitally.

From Varese Sarabande comes Nima Fakhrara’s striking electronic score for The Signal (2014) and Marco Beltrami’s unusually understated music for the post-apocalyptic Snowpiercer (2013).

MovieScore Media released Ceiri Torjussen’s similarly striking electronic score Test (2013), and from Screamworks / MovieScore Media we have Jeff Grace’s Hellbenders (2012).

I’ll have another set of soundtrack reviews later this week, but coming next are another set of film reviews, including one I had to watch on Betamax because it apparently doesn’t exist on DVD.

The ridiculous (besides it being on Beta, and me being able to watch a movie on Beta)?

The film was bought sealed. It’s a thing that never fails to amaze me: a movie can remain someplace untouched in its original cello because it was completely forgotten before it was bought in a batch and sold on Ebay.

Cheers,
