Soundtrack Reviews

FilmMusicReviews_square_picJust posted is another set of soundtrack reviews, plus one title from the KQEK.com archives.

Cris Velasco’s short but excellent score for the Ubisoft video game Assassins Creed Unity: Dead Kings (2015) is up, plus Will Bates’ really clever Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief (2015) from Lakeshore Records, perfectly encapsulating the weird world of L. Ron Hubbard with a great mix of retro synth sounds.

Varese Sarabande released John Frizzell’s score for The Loft (2014), and I’ve paired it with a review of Wolfram de Marco’s music from Loft (2008), which MovieScore Media released in tandem with the original Belgium film.

Lastly, there’s Nuno Malo’s music from the 2012 film LUV via Milan Records, and next week is another composer podcast.

Coming next: a review of Day of Anger (1967) from Arrow Video / MVD Visual, which features one heck of a corkscrew soundtrack by Riz Ortolani. I need to find this score to remove the theme from my head.  It just won’t stop
