FilmMusicReviews_square_picJust posted is a quartet of soundtrack reviews, with another set to follow shortly.

Included are Clyde Lawrence and Cody Fitzgerald’s score for the romantic drama The Rewrite (Lakeshore Records), Ronen Landa’s music for the documentary Mad as Hell (Bandcamp), Patrick Doyle’s light & airy Cinderella (Walt Disney Records), and Hans Zimmer returning to his all-synth roots in Chappie (Varese Sarabande), aided by co-composers Steve Mazzaro and Andrew Hawczynski.

The next set of soundtrack reviews will include a few video game scores, and some classic urban jazz-styled scores by Lalo Schifrin and Nicholas Carras.

Coming shortly: Bottom-meister Tinto Brass returns in a 4-film Blu-ray set from Cult Epics, bum-dled with a booklet and interview documentary.

Cheers,
